Are you caring for someone living with a disability? Would you like to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?
Carers Tasmania invites you to attend a FREE 2–workshop course for family carers.
1. Introduction for carers to the NDIS–What is the NDIS, who is eligible, how does the NDIS work and when will the roll out be for the age groups?
2. Your role as a carer in the NDIS–What role do carers play in the NDIS and what can you expect? Preparation, selfadvocacy, supporting the person you care for to make decisions.
The two-part interactive workshop focuses on building knowledge and skills to help carers make informed choices when accessing the NDIS. Carers should ideally attend both sessions.
A light lunch will be available.
This course runs over a period of 2 days on a weekly basis.
Places are limited.
