Can’t pay your energy bill? Contact your energy company for help.
The start of a New Year can be a difficult period financially for many households. The regular bills continue to roll in and the COVID-19 pandemic is adding additional financial stress.
So it’s timely to remind you there is support available to assist households with energy costs and to contact your energy provider if you need help paying or managing your bill.
Customers needing assistance to pay their Aurora Energy bills can call the YES team on 1300 10 2010. Additional support is available through their COVID-19 Customer Support Fund and protections are in place to ensure your electricity supply won’t be disconnected if you are in contact with your retailer. If you are anxious about contacting your energy retailer, you can ask a financial counsellor or other authorised representative to contact them on your behalf. Anglicare offers a free financial counselling service across Tasmania or you can call the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 for advice.

TasNetworks also offers a free over-the-phone, energy consultation with energy advisors who can help you understand your energy bill and provide advice on simple changes you can make at home to save power and lower your electricity bill.
