As valued TasCOSS Members and supporters, I want to communicate with you regarding the next steps in recruiting for the TasCOSS CEO role following Kym’s resignation.
The TasCOSS Board and I are grateful to Kym for her leadership of our organisation, and the courageous zeal with which she has approached her work. We are, and remain, so proud to have been involved with TasCOSS while Kym has been at the helm as our CEO.
We respect her decision to step away from her current work for a renewed focus on other areas of endeavour. Kym’s legacy at TasCOSS will remain, and as highlighted in her statement earlier this month, we appreciate that she again has our members and Tasmanians as her focus. Allowing her replacement two years lead time into the next State and Federal elections provides them with the chance to set their own foundation in maintaining the TasCOSS voice as an influential peak in Tasmania, and nationally.
As such, the TasCOSS Board met last Wednesday and have appointed Red Giant, a Tasmanian executive search firm, to undertake the search for TasCOSS’s next CEO.
Red Giant will commence the recruitment process in late January/early February 2020, and undertake the attraction, assessment and selection of a shortlist of applicants, to be presented to a TasCOSS panel for consideration.
In the interest of transparency and fairness, and to ensure consistency of the recruitment process, all applications will be managed and assessed by Red Giant. Therefore, anyone interested in understanding more about the position and the process, will be asked to make contact directly with Red Giant.
