Spatial planning is an umbrella term for all forms of planning that involve physical space, such as land-use planning, urban planning, regional planning, infrastructure planning and transport planning. TasCOSS advocates for spatial planning that serves social inclusion, whether by encouraging the construction and creation of affordable housing options for all ages and needs in convenient, sustainable locations, by creating opportunities for healthy activities for people of all ages, physical abilities and levels of socio-economic advantage, or by creating the infrastructure for public and community transport options, as well as healthy options such as walking and cycling.
