Good educational outcomes are not only fundamental to the health and well-being of each individual Tasmanian but also to the Tasmanian community and economy as a whole. Despite recent improvements, low educational retention rates remain a serious problem. TasCOSS advocates for equitable access to a full education in all regions and for strong efforts to encourage and maintain engagement with education by all Tasmanian students, especially disadvantaged students, through both engagement/alternative education programs and more support in schools for vulnerable students. We also advocate for access to opportunities for life-long learning for all Tasmanians.
